Does Change Make Cents?

Sometimes changes are good, but sometimes they are not. The Susan B. Anthony dollar didn't make using money easier. Instead, it created more problems. But there's one change that is definitely worth it. The Bible tells us that our lives will change for the better when we become God's children (Hill, 2002).

The Bible says:
Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will know what God wants you to do, and you will know how good and pleasing and perfect his will really is.
Romans 12:2, NLT

There's no mistake involved in letting God change you! Ask Him to show you some of the changes He wants to help you make this year.

Extreme Living - Lesson on 12/9/2009

So be careful how you live, not as fools but as those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity for doing good in these evil days. Ephesians 5: 15-16

Live wisely among those who are not Christians, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and effective so that you will have the right answer for everyone.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize
what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God's
way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do.

God wants you to use your mind and heart to make the world a better place.

MISSION STATEMENT

Woodland Forest Baptist Church's youth ministry seeks to build Christian commitment in teenagers by providing a friendly and open atmosphere for young people to study scripture, develop Christian friendships, serve others in Christ's name and apply their faith to their daily lives.

GOALS (L.I.F.E.)

LOVE - To provide youth with unconditional positive regard.
INVOLVEMENT - To provide youth opportunities to become active church members and leaders.
FELLOWSHIP - To provide opportunities for youth to develop close Christian friendships.
EDUCATION - To provide active learning experiences and opportunities for spiritual growth and understanding.

Jesus promises that He's here with us when we pray together.

Prayers don't need to be fancy or filled with big words.
Prayers come from the heart.
If you have trouble coming up with your own words, here is a simple prayer:

Dear God, thank you for hearing our prayers.
We trust you to answer them, just like you promised.
In Jesus' name, amen.
